How much does a gallon cover?
Most paint covers about 350 to 400 square feet per gallon per coat. Rough or new drywall soaks up more, so we start at 350. The can lists the exact number.
Do I need two coats?
Usually yes, especially when changing colors or painting over patches. One coat can be enough when repainting the same color.
